Wilson Grenada
Wilson Granada, Quito (Ecuador), 1994
He was born in Ecuador, and he moves to Spain with 7 years old. He works with collage, as a technic and as a process. He use artisanal technics as sewing, and like to find little treasures in old markets, postcards, fragments, wastes, etc., to work with. With old fotographs recovered from markets or directly from rubbish he resignify its content, and he creates another images about relationship, family or friendship. He also use fragments of photographies combined with poetry or texts about conflicts relateds with homes and family issues.
During his stay in Ungría, Wil created some art pieces about stories and traditions from Fuentes de la Alcarria, in an attempt to maintain the memory of the place and its people.
