Isabel Campos is an artist interested in the concept “heterotopic space”, created by the philosopher Michel Foucault to refer to no-places, real places out of every place.
She works with sculpture and installation, and create site specific projects “reading” the places where she works, its cracks, its memories, its peeling walls by the time and the events. So, during Ungría´s residency, Isabel was specially interested in the old community laundry located in Fuentes de la Alcarria, its history, the stones texture, its possibilities as a scenario to create an installation, writing with different pieces a new narrative, based on the old narratives, memories and sleeping sensations.
